Our good friend Kim has spent the last six months training for the Walt Disney World Marathon and has been keeping track of her progress on her blog "26.2 Miles of Magic." You can find the link under my blog-roll :) Anyway, on January 9th (same day as my dad's birthday so we could not travel to Orlando to see her cross the finish line) Kim was able to run and complete her first marathon! We are so proud of her! She worked through some rough weather and injuries while training. On Tuesday, January 11th I got together with Kim and quite a few friends to have dinner and congratulate her (and some other wonderful marathon finishers) on this HUGE acomplishment!

Yeah, that's the cake... I think it was a dark chocolate Jack Daniel's whiskey cake... dangerous!!!!
